What is a loose cubic metre?
A loose cubic metre (berkubs) is 1 m³ of loosely tipped split firewood. Stacked (RM), the same firewood takes up less space because there are fewer gaps between the logs - so when comparing prices, check whether they are per loose cubic metre or per RM.
| Packaging | Price | Price per loose m³ |

Why loose firewood?
A convenient way to buy a larger supply of firewood. The firewood is tightly packed on a pallet and secured with netting, so delivery is clean - nothing spills, and the pallet can be unloaded with a forklift or a pallet truck. For stacked firewood, see Firewood in crates.
What is it best for?
Stoves, fireplaces, saunas and outdoor fire pits. In mixed firewood, birch and alder light quickly, while oak and ash burn longer and give more heat - more about mixed firewood.
